METROLINX EXPANSION OF ONTARIO LINE TO EASE TRAVELING IN TORONTO

by | Dec 1, 2020

As Toronto’s population grows, so, too, does the City’s network of public transportation routes. The fourth and final report from Metrolinx on Premier Ford’s upcoming 15.5 km Ontario Line subway expansion calls for it to take place on the final quarter of the line, from TTC Pape Station to the Ontario Science Centre. This anxiously awaited portion will connect the Line 2 subway and the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. Along the way, numerous bus routes will connect as well.

Getting downtown from North York will be easier than ever before. New condominiums are popping up in that area, so imagine how much value this will add to their investment. Plus, the expansion will do much more than ease commuting and other traveling for people who live along that section of the line; it will also reduce congestion in Toronto as a whole and create connections that will help travelers maneuver around the Greater Toronto Area more efficiently and quickly. In fact, according to the Metrolinx website, when the Ontario Line is complete, a lot of Toronto residents will live within a 10-minute walk of it.

Transit is a key consideration when shopping for a new condominium in Toronto. Living on or close to a public transportation route is a form of future-proofing your investment!
